Mistakes: 7

"Justin? Where are you?" I'm pacing around my room, talking to Justin.
"I just needed to clear my head. I just needed some space." His voice sounds far away, as if there's not good signal where he is.
"I understand, but I need you to come back, okay?"
"Alright. I'll be home soon."
"What did you say?" I stop pacing.
"Huh? I said I'd be home soon."
"I know. You said home."
"Oh, I, uhm, meant I'll be to your home soon."
I smile. I'm about to say something, but he hangs up. He said he would be home soon. As in our home.
I'm probably overthinking this. It was probably just a slip of the tongue. I plop down on the couch and watch t.v. for about a half hour until Justin walks in.
"Hey," he says, seeming grumpy.
"Hey babe. You alright?"
"No. I need to talk to you."
Oh no. "Yeah?"
He walks over and sits next to me on the couch. "I have to go back on tour. My mom just told me today."
"What?! I thought you paused it!"
"Yeah, about that. I didn't exactly tell my mom, or Scooter, or anyone I was pausing the tour. I just kind of left. They're really mad."
"Oh."
"And I talked to my mom about bringing you."
"You did?"
"And she said she would have to think about it."
"Oh."
"Yeah. I'm sorry." Justin gets up and walks upstairs.
I lay on the couch and quietly cry.

I'm standing in the kitchen, making a salad, when Justin walks in. He grabs my arms and pulls me into a long kiss. I kiss back, but then he starts getting more frantic, aggressive.
I pull away. "Justin. What are you doing?"
"I just love you. And I want to show you how much I love you."
I look at him. "Seriously?"
"Only if you want to."
Biting my lip, I think about what could happen. I'm gonna go for it. "I want to."
"Let's go."
We hurry up to my room.
And it's amazing.

Justin wraps his arms around me, and I sigh, leaning against his chest. "Justin, you're the best boyfriend ever."
He smiles. "I try."
"Shut up," I say, laughing.
He looks into my eyes. "I love you so much, Nicolette."
"I love you too, Justin." Even though we've said it a thousand times before, it's like it has a whole different meaning now.
Justin sits up all of a sudden. He looks away, then back at me. "I have to go somewhere."
Is he SERIOUS? "Where?"
"Somewhere. I'll be right back, though. An hour, tops."
I sigh, afraid I might cry. "Okay," I reply quietly.
He smiles sadly and climbs out of the bed and gets dressed, then gives me a kiss on the forehead and leaves.
I frown, then get out of bed and pull on some shorts and a tank top. I shuffle downstairs and grab a bag of chips, then sit down on the couch to watch t.v. until Justin gets back.

An hour and a half later, Justin gets home. Finally. I'm still sitting on the couch watching Jersey Shore, sipping a bottle of rasberry tea.
He glances at me as he walks in. "I'm back."
"Really? I didn't notice." I have to admit, I'm in kind of a bad mood.
"Rawr." He raises his eyebrows.
"Stop talking to me. I'm in a bad mood."
"I can tell. But I got the best idea." He smiles and sits next to me, turning off the television.
"Hey! I was watching that!"
"Just shut up and listen. I got the most perfect idea ever."
"What?"
"Nic, you're my favorite person in the world. I love seeing you happy, and when you smile, the whole world gets brighter. You are one of the main reasons I wake up in the morning, and if I could spend every single second with you, I would." He slides off the couch and kneels in front of me.
Oh my God. Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod.
Justin smiles up at me. "Nicolette, I love you. More than anything." He pulls a small black box out of his pocket. "Will you-"
"Waitwaitwait!" I take a giddy breath and bite my lip. I can't believe this. "Okay. Go on."
He laughs, grinning. He opens up the box and I see a gorgeous diamond ring. "Nicolette Marie Wright, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, so will you make me the happiest man in the world, and marry me?"
I gasp and put my hand to my mouth. Oh my God. I can't believe it. Justin just proposed. To me. Justin just asked me to marry him. I happily nod. "Yes. Yes! Yes, I will marry you!" I start crying, and Justin jumps up, picks me up, and spins me around.
He sits me down and slides the ring onto my finger. I can't stop smiling.
"Oh my God, Justin. It's beautiful. Oh my God, oh my freaking God! I'm getting married!" I seriously cannot believe this.
"No, baby, we're getting married." Justin takes my hands and gazes into my eyes. "I love you."
"I love you too." Grinning, I kiss him, and I never want this moment to end.
Then, I realize it won't.
