ATTENTION!

okay. So I deleted Stupid, because not enough happened to make it more than like seven chapters, and I didn't want to make stuff up (this actually happened). Sorry! I will be starting a new story though, really soon. And I'll probably put up like the first couple chapters at the same time cause I'm at my grandma's and I don't have wifi to upload from my laptop, where I write the stories. So, any ideas on what to name the girl? And should it be another story with Justin Bieber, should I put that Alex kid in it, or should I come up with a whole new boy? Give me ideas, yo! Thanks! Lotsa Love! <3

Chapter 21, Alexis

"Alexis, I'm sorry! Please! It was a mistake! I never wanted to hit you! It wasn't my fault!" Justin's hurrying after me, trying to catch up.
"Forget it! I'm never going to forgive you! You can't take it back!"
"But it wasn't my fault!"
I spin around. "Oh yeah? Then whose fault was it?"
He doesn't say anything, just looks down at the ground.
"Yeah, that's what I thought." I walk away again. Justin doesn't follow me.

Justin stopped coming to school. I didn't see him again after he "apologized". I heard he moved, but other people said he just sits at home and doesn't do anything. I asked Ryan if he knew anything, but he just shuggred, saying he didn't care about Justin or anything that had to do with him. Christian says it's for the better. He said if he hadn't disappeared he would just keep hitting me. At first I agreed with him, but now I kind of miss him.
I'm dating Ryan now, and he's really sweet. He apologized for the whole thing at Alyssa's, and we've been together for three months. He says he's going to marry me someday. Christian and Alyssa started going out, and they plan on going to college together. Christian's already proposed. She said yes.
Kelsey Smith got pregnant, and her friend Nicole got tired of her, left the cheerleading squad, and joined the academic team. Some of Kelsey's other friends ditched her when she got all cranky and started craving pickles all the time.
I've thought about calling Justin sometimes, but he probably wouldn't answer, and somebody said that he changed his number. Ryan told me to forget about him, because I have him now. That's true. He's the best boyfriend a girl could ask for. And he takes me to Dairy Queen all the time.
I write something real quick in my diary, until I hear Kate calling me downstairs. "Alexis, come on! You'll be late for school!"
I sigh, close my diary, grab my bag, and hurry downstairs. As I walk to school, a range rover drives by, and I freeze as I see Justin behind the wheel. Then I blink, and the car is gone. I shake m head, thinking I was just seeing things. I go to school.

the end.

Chapter 20, Justin

"ALEXIS! WAKE UP!" Christian is shaking her, trying to get her to wake up. It makes me mad.
"Get away from her!" I push him away. "She's my girlfriend! Don't touch her!"
"Dude!" Christian shoves me. "What the heck?! I'm just trying to help!"
"I don't care! You stay away from her! I shove him back.
"Why?! So you can smack her around some more?! I don't think so!"
"Whatever, dude! Why do you even care?!"
"Because she's my friend! And you're a psycho!" He turns away from me, heading back towards Alexis. I want to push him out into the traffic, but I don't. He kneels down next to Alexis. "Lexi, can you hear me?" He shakes her again. "Come on, Lexi, wake up!"
I just stand there. I don't know what to do. Part of me is mad at Alexis for being stupid and making me let go of the steering wheel to yell at her, but another part of me wants to cry, to help her, to get her to wake up. But I really just want to hit something. Or someone.
Christian looks back at me. "So you're just gonna stand there?! You're not even gonna help?! I thought she was your 'girlfriend'!" He shakes his head at me, angry. "I can't believe you. You're really full of crap, you know that?"
"You know what?! I don't care! I wish the car had turned more and you'd gotten hit! I wish you'd been smashed flat like a pancake!"
"Yeah, I can say the same thing about you." He looks down at Alexis. He looks like he's about to cry. "This is all my fault," he says quietly. "I can't believe I let this happen."
I roll my eyes. He cares way too much. I'm about to say something when an ambulance pulls up. A guy jumps out.
"Who's hurt?" He looks at the three of us.
Christian speaks up. "She's unconcious, and my arm hurts really bad, and I think Justin's okay."
The ambulance guy nods. "Alright." He and some other guy load Alexis into the back, then Christian sits in the back with them, and I climb in next.
We're silent on the way to the hospital, but the people in the ambulance are talking on phones and walkie-talkies and stuff. It's kind of crazy.
When we get to the hospital, some nurses rush us into two different rooms. Alexis and Chrsitian are in one room, and I'm in the next one over. I'm incredibly jealous.
I sit in the room for about an hour, and all these doctors keep asking me questions. Finally, they all leave, and one more doctor walks in. "Hello, Justin," he says.
"Uhm, hi," I say back.
"So, tell me, exactly what drugs are you taking?" He closes his notebook foler thingy, crosses his arms, and looks at me.
"What?" I act like I don't know anything.
"Don't play dumb, Mr. Bieber. We took a blood test and you've been taking drugs. Now which ones are you taking?"
I sigh. "I don't know. Some guy at school gave them to me. He said they'd make me stronger and stuff for basketball. I wasn't sure about taking them, but I did anyway because I need to make the basketball team."
"Justin, what you took is not good. You can't take those anymore, they're dangerous. They can cause you to be extremely violent, there's mood swings, all this crazy stuff."
Extremely violent. I think about when I hit Alexis. I really regret that. I din't know what I was doing. It just happened. Now I understand. "Okay. I'll stop."
"Good. Now, you're good to go, but you'll have to be careful. When you take drugs and then stop, they can have side effects. Be careful, and if you're angry, try not to hit anything or anyone." He looks at me sternly. "Just be careful, okay?"
I nod. "Okay."
"Alright. You can leave." He turns to leave.
"Wait!"
He turns back around. "Yes?"
"Uhm, my girlfriend, Alexis Allegriso? Is she... I mean..."
"Yes? What's your question?"
"Is the baby okay?"
He looks confused. "The baby?"
"Yeah, the baby. She's pregnant."
He sighs, and looks at me funny. "Mr. Bieber, Miss Allegriso is most definately not pregnant."
I'm shocked. "You mean... the baby's gone?!"
"No. Alexis was never pregnant."

She was never pregnant. Not for one second. I'm furious. How could she lie to me like this? I thought my life was ruined. This is crazy. I can't believe her.
I head down the hall, and walk into Alexis and Christian's room. I see Christian watching tv, a cast on his arm. "Sup?" he asks.
I ignore him. "Where is she?" I growl. "Where's Alexis?"
"Uh, over there." He points to a bed across the room. "She just woke up about a half hour ago."
I hurry over to Alexis's bed. She looks up at me. "Get away from me."
"Why did you lie to me, Alexis? Why would you lie like that? You should know better."
"What? What are you talking about? I didn't lie."
"Of course you didn't. I know you lied about being pregnant, Alexis! The doctor told me you never were pregnant! Not at all!" I grab her shirt and pull her towards me, and I get in her face. "You little bitch! How dare you lie to me?!"
Christian jumps up and runs over. "Dude!"
I push him away from me. "You think you can lie to ME and get away with it?! You're wrong!"
She looks at me, and I see fear in her eyes. Good. I want her to be scared. "Justin, let me go, now!" She tries to be firm but it doesn't work. I can hear how scared she is in her voice.
I shake her a little bit. "I bet you wish you were really pregnant now, don't you?! Then I couldn't hit you! But you're not, so I can! Got that?! Do you understand that? DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!" I shake her again.
She gets tears in her eyes. "I understand, Justin! Please let go of me! I'm sorry! I'm sorry I lied! Please don't hit me!" She tries to pry my hands off of her.
"Whatever." I let go of her and she falls back onto the bed, and starts to cry a little. I roll my eyes.
Christian comes up to me and gets in my face. "What the hell is your problem?! Don't ever talk to her like that! Or treat her like that! I should beat your ass right now!" He pulls his arm back like he's about to punch me.
"Whatever little dude. You don't unerstand." I push him away from me and start to walk out.
"Little? In case you haven't noticed, I'm almost taller than you! I'm not so little anymore! And I understand you being mad, but mad enough to hit her?! You're retarded!"
I just walk out.

Chapter 19, Alexis

I open my eyes, and sit up. Justin's laying next to me, and his shirt is off. I'm confused for a second, then I remember that I spent the night at his place last night. I notice that I'm wearing one of his t-shirts and a pair of basketball shorts. I glance at the clock; it reads 10:17. I guess we're not going to school today, then. I look back down at Justin. He's still asleep. He's so cute when he's sleeping. "Justin," I whisper, poking his cheek. "Justin, wake up."
He groans, then rolls over. I giggle, and poke him again. Now he sits up. "What?" he whines. "I was sleeping!"
I laugh. "You're dumb."
"I am not. You take that back. Right now."
"Oh yeah? Or what?"
"Or this." He grabs my arms and pulls me towards him. He kisses me roughly, and I go along with it. But then his hands start to wander, and I pull away. He looks at me, confused. "What? What's wrong? Does my breath smell bad?"
I giggle. "No, I'm just-"
"You can't say you're not ready, because we've done it before."
"I'm just tired."
"Oh, okay. You want me to go make breakfast?"
"Justin, it's ten o' clock."
"Oh shit! And it's Tuesday, right? Or is it Wednesday? We gotta get to school!" He jumps up and starts running around, trying to get ready.
"Nah, let's just skip today. Just have a nice day of relaxation." I wink at him.
His eyes widen a little. "Okay! But I'm actually really hungry, so I'm gonna go make a sandwich or something. Be right back." He leaves the room and starts to go downstairs.
"Uhm, Justin?"
"Yeah?" He walks back in the room.
"Did you forget to ask something?"
"Uh, I don't think so." I give him a look. "Oh! Uhm, honey, do you want anything?"
I smile sweetly. "No thanks, I'm fine."
He rolls his eyes. "Whatever." As he walks out of the room again, I hear him mumble, "Chicks."
I laugh. He's such a loser. But he's my loser. I reach over and grab my phone. Twelve texts from Alyssa. What the crap? I check thorugh them. In almost all of them, she's asking where I am, when I'm returning her shoes, or telling me homework assignments. I roll my eyes. Then I come to the last one.
"Party @ christian's," it says. "fri. @ 9." So Christian's having a party. I wouldn't expect it. Just then, Justin walks in. He hands me a glass of apple juice.
"I brought you some apple juice," he says.
"Did you know that Christian's having a party?"
He looks up at me. "What? He's having a party?"
"Yeah, that's what Alyssa said." I show him the text.
"Huh! Whaddaya know, he is having a party." He looks at me. "You wanna go?"
"Sure! I haven't been to a party in awhile."
"Me either. No one's had any this year. Kinda sucks."
"Yep." I don't know what to say, and I can tell he doesn't either. This is the first time we've run out of things to talk about. Or maybe we both just don't want to talk. Before I can think about it any more, Justin grabs my waist and pulls me into a kiss. We lay back on the bed, him on top of me, and the kiss turns into a full out make-out session. Does he want to do anything other than kiss? I wonder. Well, I know he wants to do other stuff, but it seems like we've only kissed all morning. Oh well. It's not like I'm complaining or anything. I need to breath though. I pull away. "Justin..."
"Hmm?" He doesn't really pay attention, just tries to kiss me again.
"Justin..." I don't want to hurt his feelings, but I really don't want to do this. I don't regret what happened last time, but I'm just not sure anymore. "Justin, stop." I try and push him away, but it doesn't work. He's bigger and stronger. He kisses me again. I can tell he really wants to do it. "Justin. I don't want to right now."
He doesn't listen. I'm starting to get upset. "Whatever," he mumbles. He kisses me yet again, more forcefully this time.
"Justin, stop!" I try pushing him off me again. "Get off me! I have to pee!" I just want him to stop. I push him again.
He looks at me, and he looks like he's getting angry. I've only seen Justin really angry a couple of times. The first time we were studying, then in the hospital after the Ryan thing, and last year, when this guy was bugging him a bunch. Justin got really mad and punched the guy, a lot. It wasn't pretty. "What's your problem?" When he says that, I flash back to that first day of school, when he pulled me into the empty hallway. He said the exact same thing then. "Huh? What is it?" He's being mean now, and I don't like it one bit.
"Nothing! Just get off me, I don't want to do this right now!"
"Why not?! You did earlier!"
"Well I just don't want to anymore, okay?!"
"No, not okay! Is this about the Kelsey thing again?! I told you that was nothing! Don't you listen?!"
"Yes, I freaking listen! Do you?!"
"Don't try and turn this around on me! I freaking saved your life last night, and now you're behaving like this?!" He shakes me a little. I'm getting a kind of scared. What if he loses his temper? He woudn't do anything bad, would he?
"That's it! Get off of me NOW! I'm going home!" I try getting off the bed.
"No you're not!" He pushes me back down, then starts to pull his hand back.
No, no, NO! I think. Please don't hit me, I'm pleading in my head. But then he does. He hits me. Hard. I cry out and turn my head, covering my face with my hands. I start to cry, and then I get really mad. I push Justin as hard as I possibly can, and I hurry and get off the bed. He comes over to me and tries to grab my arm. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" I scream at him. "STAY AWAY FROM ME!" I slap him, and my hand leaves a small red mark on his cheek.
"Bitch!" he yells, and pushes me against the wall. He gets closer to me, but I knee him in his area, and he bends over, in pain.
I run to other side of the room and grab my phone, my purse, and my clothes. "I HATE YOU!" I shout. I rip the necklace he gave me last night off my neck and throw it on the ground, then run out.

I'm sitting on Alyssa's couch, sobbing, telling her what happened. She listens patiently, and when I'm done, she sighs.
"Honey, I just don't think Justin would do something like that."
"So you don't believe me?" She has to believe me! I'm telling the truth!
"I didn't say that. I just can't imagine why he'd hit you. He loves you so much."
"Whatever. I hate him. I never want to see him again."
"That's gonna be hard, since you have almost every class with him."
I sigh. "Maybe Kate will let me stay home from school the rest of the week?"
Aly shrugs her shoulders. "Maybe. You wanna stay here for awhile, or go to your house?"
"My house. You wanna come over?"
"Nah, I got algebra homework. I'll come over later though."
"Okay. Bye." I walk home. I open the front door, and I can hear Kate talking on the phone. I go into the living room and see her sitting on the couch. She's watching The Real World, and I figure she's talking to her friend Jessica, who's in her Accounting class. "Hey Kate?" I say kinda quietly.
She looks up at me, and holds up one finger, to tell me to hold on. Then she notices that my eyes are puffy, and I see concern in her eyes. "Hey Jess, I'm gonna have to call you back. My little sister needs to talk to me." She hangs up and I go to sit by her on the couch. "What's wrong, Lexi?"
I let out a shaky breath. Kate never liked Justin. I don't want her to be dissapointed in me. "Well, uhm, Justin...he..." I trail off.
She sits up. "What did Justin do?"
I swallow. "He, uhm, hit me."
"He did what?" She looks really mad.
"Kate, don't get mad."
"So you're defending him?! He hit you! That's abuse! We can sue for that. That's it. We're going to sue him."
"No! I don't want to go through a bunch of crap. But I just needed to tell you. I didn't want you to freak out. I already dumped him, of course, and I hit him back, and kneed him, in a certain place."
"I'm proud of you for defending yourself. But don't you think we should take action against him or something?"
I shake my head. "No. I don't want to. It'll just be a waste of time. We won't get anything from it."
"We'll get justice."
"No we won't." I stand up. "I'm gonna go take a nap or something, okay?"
She nods. "Alright."
I grab a bottle of water from the fridge and head upstairs. I lay down on my bed, and fall asleep.

*AN: okay, I'm skipping to Friday, becasue nothing really hapens on the other days. Alexis ignore Justin, he tries to talk to her, beacause he feels bad, but she doesn't want to hear it. And when Justin says "freaking" or "frick" he's supposed to be saying a different word, but I don't like that word. So here we go. Friday.*
"Are you going to Christian's party tonight?" Alyssa leans against the locker next to mine, waiting for me to get my stuff so we can walk home. We went to her locker first.
"I don't know," I say. "Justin's probably going to go, and I don't want to be around him." I put my books in my locker and pull out my bag and my purse. I don't have any homework this weekend, thank goodness.
"Well then we'll just avoid him!" Aly chirps perkily.
I roll my eyes. "I wish it were that easy. He's everywhere!" I close my locker and turn, and I see Justin walking in our direction. "Speak of the devil," I mumble.
"What?" Alyssa turns around and sees him. "Just ignore him."
"Yeah, that was kinda the plan, smart one." He sees me and glares at me. Why is he so mad? I didn't do anything wrong. That was him. "Come on Alyssa, let's go. He's starting to come over here." We start to walk away. Justin runs up behind us and grabs my arm roughly, turning me around.
"I need to talk to you."
"Let go of me."
"Can I talk to you?"
"No. I don't want to talk to you."
"Well I want to talk to you." He tries to pull me down the hall, but I plant my feet to the ground and try my hardest not to let him pull me. He turns back to me. "Come on. I want to talk to you in private, not in a big open hallway."
"I think it's best to talk here. That way, if you hit me, there's plenty of witnesses."
"Shut up. I'm not going to hit you. If you're good."
"Excuse me?" I try to pull my arm away, but he tightens his grip. I look to Aly for help, but she's lost in conversation with Christian. Stupid little chipmunk, distracting my friend when I need her.
"You heard me. If you behave, then I won't hit you."
"You don't own me. I'm not your puppy that you can smack with a newspaper every time they do something wrong."
"Yeah, you're my girlfriend who needs to be taught a lesson." He glares at me. "Understand?"
"Yeah, I understand that you're a psycho that needs to stay away from me. Now let go of me!" I push him with my free arm, and I see anger in his eyes after I push him. Uh-oh.
He pushes me hard against the lockers and gets close to my face. "Don't you dare push me, bitch! NOT a wise move!" I try to move away from him, but he grabs my hair and makes me look at him. I cry out in pain, and people around us start to notice that something's going on. I see Christian look up and see what's happening. He looks shocked and horrified. "Did you hear what I said?!" Justin screams in my ear. "Did you freaking hear me?!"
Chrsitian runs over and tries to pull Justin away from me. "Dude! Get away from her! Calm down!"
Justin turns and swings at Christian, and his fist connects with Christian's nose. "Get the frick away from me!" Justin yells at him.
Chrsitian puts his hand to his nose, and when he pulls it back, there's blood on it. Justin swings at Christian again, but he ducks out of the way.
Alyssa runs over to me, but then Justin comes back over to me and pushes Alyssa out of the way, and she falls on the floor. He gets real close to me and kisses me, pressing me against the locker again. I want to push him away, but I'm afraid of what'll happen if I do.
Just then Ryan comes out of nowhere and tackles Justin to the ground, and punches him. Justin tries to punch back, but Ryan hits him again.
"Ryan! Stop hitting him!" I scream.
"He hurt you!" Ryan yells.
"Then just get him away from me! Don't beat him up!"
Ryan pulls Justin up and shoves him against another section of lockers. "You stay away from her! And from every other girl at this school!" He glares at Justin, then walks away.
Alyssa grabs my arm and we run down the hall to an empty classroom. I see Christian following us. We run into the room and I burst into tears and collapse on the floor. I hear Christian run into the room.
"Where is she?!" he says. He sees me laying on the floor and runs over. "Alexis, are you okay? Did he hit you? I didn't see all of it. I'm sorry. I should've been watching! I should've been keeping a better eye on you! I'm so sorry!"
I sniffle and sit up. "It's fine. It's not your fault. I told you her probabaly wouldn't do anything at school. Don't feel bad."
"How can I not feel bad? I should have been protecting you! I'm just glad that Ryan was nearby and saw."
Alyssa looks at us, confused. "What are you guys talking about?"
I sigh. "After Justin hit me at his house, I called Christian and told him, and we decided that he should keep an eye on me so he could step in and help if Justin did anything. But we were talking yesterday and I said that I didn't think he was going to do anything at school, so he didn't need to worry about me. But Justin did do something, and Christian wasn't there."
He inturrupts. "Well, I was there, I just wasn't paying attention. Which I should have been. Anytime Justin's around I should be paying total attention. I'm really really sorry, Alexis."
"Christian, it's fine. It wasn't your fault!" I cover his hand with mine and look at him. I smile. "It wasn't your fault."
He looks back at me. "But I feel responsible for you. You're like my sister. I just want you to be safe."
Aly raises her eyebrows. "When did you two get so close?"
Christian shrugs. "Well, we used to be really really close, a long time ago, but then I started hanging out with Justin a lot, and Alexis said I changed, and she wouldn't hang out with me anymore. But then we started hanging out again recently, and yeah. It's just like back then, only I'm a lot more protective of her."
I laugh. "You're only four months older than me."
He rolls his eyes. "Whatever. My point is, I need to protect you."
I'm about to respond, but Justin walks in the room. Oh, no. Not again, please not again! "GET OUT!" I scream.
"Nope." He comes over to where we're sitting, grabs my arm and pulls me up. He drags me out of the room, and I scream for Alyssa and Christian to help me. Christian runs after us, but Justin picks me up over his shoulder and starts running. He's faster than Chrisitian.
"PUT ME DOWN!" I shout, pounding on his back with my fists. "PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW!"
"Oh shut up."
"JUSTIN! PUT HER DOWN RIGHT NOW!" Christian's starting to get closer, but we're already at Justin's car.
He opens the back door and throws me inside, then climbs in the driver's side. I'm about to get out of the car, but he hits a button and locks all the doors. "JUSTIN! UNLOCK THE DOOR! LET ME OUT!"
Christian reaches the car, but he's too late. Justin's starting to drive. Just when I think all hope is lost, that I'm going to be stuck with Justin, Christian jumps onto the back of the truck. "ALEXIS! DON'T LET HIM TOUCH YOU!" he shouts through the window. I nod. I'll do exactly what Christian says. But I don't want Justin to get mad and hurt me...
Oh well. I'll just have to try and be safe. I look up at Justin. He looks annoyed. I think he's going to do something stupid. I need to make sure he doesn't do anything reckless. "Justin? Can we go to Dairy Queen?"
He looks back at me. "Shut up. I don't want to hear you say another word, or you'll be sorry."
"But I just-"
"Did you hear what I just said? Shut up."
I gulp and tears come to my eyes. I look back at Christian. He looks like he wants to rip Justin's head off. Then Justin makes a sharp turn, and Christian almost falls off the back of the truck. "CHRISTIAN!" I shout, without realizing what I'm doing.
Justin grips the steering wheel tight. "SHUT UP!" he screams at me. "I TOLD YOU TO SHUT UP!" I start to cry. Justin turns to look at me, letting go of the sterring wheel. "Stop crying! Stop crying right now or I swear I will smack the living daylights out of you!"
I gasp. "JUSTIN LOOK OUT!" Then I hear glass and metal breaking, and I scream, and everything goes black.

Chapter 18, Justin

*sorry, this one's really long, but its kind of important?*

I push Kelsey away from me. "What the hell are you doing?!" I shout.
"Oh, nothing. Don't act like you didn't like it though." She winks at me. She freaking winks at me. I want to throw up.
"No I didn't. Now get away from me before somebody sees this and thinks something's going on," I say, and she starts to open her mouth, but I add, "which it isn't," and she doesn't say anything. I look up and see Alexis running down the hall crying. "Shit!" I mumble, then take off running after her. "ALEXIS! ALEXIS WAIT!"
"Justin?!" I hear Kelsey yelling at me. "Where are you going?! Get back here! Justin!" She's mad, I can tell. But I don't turn around. I keep running after Alexis, not stopping, just going.
"ALEXIS!" I'm starting to catch up to her. By now we've run to the parking lot. I finally getclose to her and grab her arm, forcing her to stop. "Alexis!" I say, a little out of breath.
She spins around. "WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!"
I'm a little shocked. "Why are you crying?" I reach out to wipe away her tears, but she slaps my hand away.
"You were kissing Kelsey! And you promised you wouldn't leave me!" I can see the fury and the sadness in her eyes.
"What? I didn't kiss Kelsey! She kissed me! And I'm not going to leave you!"
"Yeah right! Of course that's what you're going to say! Whatever, Justin! You know what? We're done!" She turns to walk away.
"No!" I stop her again. "I'm not leaving you with this baby. I'm staying with you, and I'm going to help you take care of it."
"I don't want you to! I don't want you to help me! I want you to STAY AWAY FROM ME!" she screams.
I relunctantly take a step back. "Okay," I say quietly. "I'm sorry. I'll stay away from you. But I didn't kiss her! She kissed me, I swear!"
She just looks at me. "Don't swear things." She walks away.

"Justin! What are you doing?!"
I look up. "Alyssa? How, how did you get in my house?"
She waves the question away. "Whatever. Not important. What is important is, why aren't you doing anything to get Alexia back?"
I look at her. "What do you mean?"
"Don't play dumb, even though you are." She smirks at her cleverness. Then she's serious again. "She told me she saw you kissing Kelsey. I know you love her too much to do something like that. I was with you at the hospital. You love her WAY too much to cheat on her, especially with Kelsey, of all people."
I sigh. "I love her. A lot. I thought she knew that, after... But I guess she doesn't. She obviously doesn't love me as much as I love her."
"If she doesn't love you, then why did she try and get you away from Ryan at my house? Why was she sobbing when you weren't waking up? Why is she so upset over this if she doesn't love you?"
I'm quiet. She's right. I'm waiting for her to say something, but she's just looking at me, waiting for me to respond. I roll my eyes. "Well what am I supposed to do? She wants me to stay away from her. She won't take my calls, she won't respond to e-mails, I went to her house and she wouldn't answer the door. I can't do anything about it." I sigh and hold my head in my hands. "Help me, please."
She sighs. "Well, I don't really know what to tell you. She's really stubborn."
"Oh, trust me, I know."
She laughs. "Yeah. Well, you could try doing something special? Like, spontaneous, romantic, surprising. Something no other guy would think of doing."
"Well what am I -" I stop. An idea pops into my head. "Okay. Thanks. I got it."
"Are you sure? Cause I-"
"Bye Alyssa! Thanks for coming! Really nice! Bye!" I push her out of the room and out my front door. I seriously don't know how she got in my house. I've been upstairs in my room all day, and all of a sudden she's standing there. A little creepy if you ask me. But whatever. I'm gonna get Alexis back, and that's all that matters.
I go back up to my room and grab my phone. I dial her number as fast as I can, and press the phone to my ear. It's ringing, and I'm hoping she'll answer, but she doesn't.
"Hi, this is Alexis," her voice chirps on the recording. "I can't come to the phone right now, but leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible! Thanks, bye!"
I take a deep breath, and wait for the beep. I hear it and start talking immediatly. "Hey Alexis it's Justin. I know you don't wanna talk to me right now but just listen. I need to talk to you. Call me back as soon as you hear this, please. I swear I would never do anything to hurt you. Please believe me. I'll do anything to make you believe me. I love you." I hang up.
I sigh and fall down on my bed. I hope she calls me back. I need to explain what happened. But what if she doesn't believe me? Whatever, I think to myself. I'll make her believe me. I'll do anything. She's having my baby. I need to be with her.
Twenty minutes later, I'm thinking about going over to Christian's house to go swimming, since Alexis is obviously not calling me back, when my phone rings. I scramble to answer it. I check the caller ID and see it's Alexis. Finally! I hurry and answer. "Hello?"
"Five minutes. That's what you have to explain. Five minutes."
"Alexis, I swear on my life, she kissed me!"
"So you're dead?"
"No need for sass. But I promise you. I wouldn't do anything to hurt you. It kills me to not be with you. Kelsey's trash. I don't want anything to do with her. But I want everything to do with you. I love you."
"Yeah, yeah, you love me, blah blah blah. I've heard it all before, Justin."
"Please, Alexis, trust me."
She doesn't say anything.
"Alexis?"
I hear her sigh. "Well, I'm not just going to trust you again like that. You've gotta earn it."
"I'll do anything."
"Alright. I guess we're okay. But remember, you've gotta earn my trust."
"I know. And I will. Trust me. I mean, well, you know. I don't mean trust me, cause I have to earn your trust and stuff, but I do mean it, like believe me, ya know? But you know, just, yeah." I'm stupid.
She laughs. "I know what you mean. And I know you will. I know you'll do whatever it takes to earn it. And that kind of scares me, since, well, I know you."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You know what it means. You're crazy, boy!"
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
"It depends," she says flirtily.
"Well maybe you can come over later and we can figure it out." I would wink, but we're talking on the phone, so it's kind of pointless.
"We'll see." Oh my god.
"Alexis, I think you should come over. Like, now."
"Why?"
"Because I need help with my chemisty homework. Yeah, that's it. Homework." I say it as suggestively as I can, so she doesn't think I actually want to do homework.
"I don't remember a chemisty assignment." Now she's just teasing me.
"It's, uhm, extra credit." Sure, extra credit. Why not.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah. It's for a ton of points."
"Well I might be able to come over."
"I'll come over there if I need to."
"No need. Twenty minutes. I'll be there. And we better go to Dairy Queen later!"
I laugh. "Again with the Dairy Queen? Really?"
"Of course! The Brownie Batter blizzards are back!"
I laugh again. "Whatever. Fine, we'll go to Dairy Queen. But you gotta come over first."
"I know, I know. I'll be there soon. Bye."
"Bye. I love you."
"I love you too. Wait, what?"
"HA! I knew it! You're not mad! You still love me!"
"Well, I mean, I just... UGH!" She's embarrassed.
"Well, whatever. Come on, hurry up and get over here!"
"Okay, okay! I'm on my way over. See you soon. Bye." She hangs up.
So Alexis is coming over. I hope she knows that there isn't any extra credit work. She's not that dumb. But she's dumb enough or me to trick her. Which I just did. I gotta hurry now. I decide to call Alexis back and tell her to take longer. I dial her number fast.
"Justin? I'm about to leave my house. What do you want?"
"I have to go help one of my relatives with something. It'll take about an hour or two. Do you think you can come over after that?" I hold my breath, hoping she believes me.
"Oh, okay." I can hear the dissappointment in her voice. "Are you sure? Maybe I should just come over some other time."
"No, you can still come over today. This is just really important. It won't take very long, I promise. I just have to fix something for my aunt."
"Okay, that's fine, I guess. See you later."
"Bye." I hang up and run to my car.

"May I help you?" The saleswoman looks at me like a piece of gum on her shoe. How rude.
"Yes, uhm, I'm actually looking for a dress for my girlfriend. It's a special occasion tonight and we're celebrating. Can you help me find a dress for her please?"
"Sure! Of course I can! What does she look like?" I pull out my phone and show her a picture of Alexis. "Oh, she's very pretty," the woman says. "I think I have just the right thing. How tall is she? How much does she weigh?"
I tell her, and she leaves and goes to the back room to get a dress. When she comes back, she's smiling. She says it's the perfect dress, and she unzips the dress bag and shows me. It's gorgeous. It's a beautiful pink dress that I know will look great on her. I buy the dress immediately.
As I leave the store, I call Alyssa. She answers quickly.
"Did you get Alexis back yet?"
"I'm working on it. Hey, do you have any really really pretty silver high heels that would fit Alexis? I need you to give them to her."
"Of course! Are you doing something special for her?"
"Yeah," I say. "She's gonna be crazy surprised. She's going to love it."
"I'll bet. Anything else you need?"
"Can you fix her hair all pretty? I mean, she's beautiful already, but I don't want her wearing a ponytail on our romantic date."
"Oooh, a romantic date?! How sweet! What is it? Tell me! I won't tell Alexis, I promise!"
"Nope. Not telling."
"Darn."
"But will you make sure she looks pretty? I'll give her the dress later."
"Dress? Whatever, okay. Bye Justin!"
"Bye Alyssa. Oh, and the dress is light pink, in case you wanted to know." I hang up, chuckling. I knew she wanted to know. That's why I told her. I'm not that mean of a person. I walk to Tiffany's and head to the counter. I'm going all out for this one. I want her to know that I love her.
A salesgirl comes over to the counter. She looks like she's about 20. "Hi! Can I help you?"
"Yes, I need a present for my girlfriend. I want her to know that I love her and that I think she's super special. What should I give her?"
"I know exactly the thing." She goes over to a display, picks up a necklace, and comes back over to me. "This," she says, handing me the necklace, "will let her know everything she means to you."
I look at the necklace. It's two hearts, intertwined, and there's a small diamond in between the hearts. "It's perfect," I tell her. "I'll take it." I pay for the necklace and leave.
As I drive home, I call my uncle who owns a big lake. I ask if I can borrow the lake, and he says it's fine. I hurry home and get ready to make dinner. Before I start cooking, I set up the table, dig up some candles and set them on the table. I go back in the kitchen and make dinner. I go as fast as I can, and the second I'm finished, the doorbell rings. "Shoot," I mutter. I wipe off my hands and run to the door. Alexis walks inside.
"Hey, do you have any idea why Alyssa gave me high heels and curled my hair, and told me to wear light pink eyeshadow? I swear, she's being such a freak." She laughs.
I laugh too, a little nervous that she'll figure it out. "No, no idea. But hey, since you have those pretty shoes, why don't you go try on this dress I got you? And I wanna see it, so come downstairs when you try it on, kay?"
She rolls her eyes. "You got me a dress? Why?"
"Don't ask questions, just do it!"
"Fine, fine!" she walks upstairs. About two minutes later, she comes down. "How do I look?" She twirls around, and I catch my breath.
"You look...amazing." Amazing doesn't even begin to describe how beautiful she looks. "Wow."
She smiles. "Thanks. It's really pretty! I love it."
"Yeah...wow..." Then I snap back to reality and remember the plan. "Uhm, I gotta go change clothes. I'll be right back. Stay here. Like, right here. Don't move from this spot."
She laughs and rolls her eyes. "Whatever, fine."
I run upstairs and change as fast as I can. I pull on a light blue button down shirt and roll up the sleeves to my elbows. I put on some nice black pants, then grab Alexis's present off my dresser and stuff it in my pocket. I run back downstairs.
Alexis raises her eyebrows when she sees me. "Hey there, hot stuff!"
I shrug. "I try. Now c'mon, let's eat."
"Eat? You made dinner? I don't think I trust your cooking."
I roll my eyes. "Just sit down." I lead her to the table and pull out her chair for her.
"Ooh, very fancy," she says.
"Mhm." I leave the room and come back with two plates of spaghetti. I set them on the table, then light the candles on the table. I sit down and smile at Alexis. "Bon appetite."

"Justin, that was delicious. I had no idea you could cook." Alexis leans back in her chair.
"Yeah, me either," I reply, laughing. I glance at my watch. 6:03. We have to go. I stand up. "Okay, no come on, we're going somewhere."
"Are you sure? I though maybe we could stay here, hang out?" She puts her arms around my neck. I want to kiss her so bad, but I know I can't.
"Nope. We gotta go. Come on." I pull her out the front door, and we get in the car. "Okay, now hold on." I put a blindfold over her eyes.
"What are you doing? I can't see."
I chuckle. "Yeah, that's kind of the point. I don't want you to see where we're going. I want it to be a surprise."
"Whatever." She crosses her arms and sits back, and I start to drive. "Can I at least have a hint to where we're going?"
"Nope."
She sighs. "Darn."
I drive for about ten minutes, and we finally reach the lake. "Alright, we're here."
"Can I take the blindfold off now?" She reaches up to lift it off her eyes, but I stop her.
"No, not yet! Jeez, be patient!" I get out of the car, the go around to the other side and help her out. I lead her to the edge of the lake, where a little wooden rowboat is sitting. "Alright, be careful. Step up. Okay, there you go. Now sit down. Okay." I help her into the boat then I get in, and start to row out onto the lake. I try to row quietly so she doesn't know we're on the water.
"Now can I look?"
"Not yet!" I wait till we're a little farther out. "Okay, now." I help her take it off, and her eyes widen when she see's where we are.
"Oh my," she says. "This is perfect. We'rein a rowboat, like in The Little Mermaid! And it's sunset! Oh, wow. This is just perfect." She looks at me and smiles.
"I did it just for you," I say, looking down. I'm a little embarrased.
"You are the sweetest."
I clear my throat. We're in the middle of the lake now. "I, uhm, got you something."
"You did?"
I nod, and hand her the box.
She opens it and holds the necklace in her hand, looking at it. "Oh my gosh, it's beautiful." She fastens it around her neck, then looks up at me. "Thank you."
I swallow. "I wanted to let you know how much you mean to me. I love you, Alexis."
"I love you too, Justin."
We lean toward each other, and right as we're about to kiss, the boat tips over. "Shit!" I yell.
Alexis screams, and goes under the water. She struggles to stay above water. "Justin!" she crys out. "I can't swim!"
I hurry to help her, but right before I reach her, she goes under water again. "Alexis!" I look for her, but the water's murky, and I can't see her. I'm freaking out. I dive under water and reach out, trying to find her. I don't. I come back up and look all around for her. I don't see her anywhere. I go back under, but still nothing. "ALEXIS! WHERE ARE YOU?!"
I hear a splash, and I hear Alexis say, "Justin!" then gasp and another splash. I spin around, and I see a hand above the water, and then it's gone. I swim over to where it was and ive. I feel Alexis under the water and grab her arm. I pull her above the water, but right as she's up and I let go of her, she goes back under. I pull her up again. "Justin, my foot is stuck! There's something caught on my foot and I can't get it off!"
"Try your best to stay above water, okay? I'm gonna get something for you to hold on to."
"NO! Justin! Don't let go of me!"
"You're gonna be fine, okay? Just stay above water." I let go of her and swim as fast as I can to the boat. I grab one edge of it and pull ot over to Alexis. She's struggling to keep from going under. "Alexis! Hold on to this!" I help her hold on to the boat. She's coughing and crying. "Are you okay?"
She nods. "But my foot, it's still stuck, and my ankle's starting to hurt."
"I'll fix it." I take a deep breath, then dive under water. I open my eyes, and try as hard as I can to see. I can barely see her foot. There's some seaweed or something caught on her shoe, and to make matters worse, her foot is wedged between two rocks. This isn't going to be easy. I swim back to the surface. "Okay." I explain what's wrong, and she starts to cry more. "Don't worry. I'll get your foot unstuck." It's starting to get dark. I suddenly remember that there's a zoo nearby, and those idiots decided that the best thing is to let the alligators out into a lake at night. This lake. We need to get out of the water. I look around. No sign of the zoo people yet. I turn back to Alexis. "Okay, I'm going back under now. Try not to move your foot unless I tell you to, but keep it limp so I can move it, okay?" She nods. I dive back under, and I struggle to free her foot. I go back up, take a breath, and go down again. Finally, after two more tries, I get her foot out. Now I just have to get her shoe unstuck. I resurface. "Will Alyssa care if she only gets one shoe back?" She shrugs. I go back under, and get ther shoe off her foot. I noticwe that there's a cut on her foot, and it's bleeding. Crap. I come back up. "Alright! You're out!" I turn around to look behind me. A feeling of dread comes over me as I spot the van from the zoo. They're about to let the alligators out. "Alexis, swim as fast as you can to shore, okay?!"
She looks scared. "What? Why? I can't swim though!"
"Just do it! go! now!" They're opening the back door. We're in the middle of the lake. We'll never make it. "ALEXIS! SWIM!"
She starts swimming, dogpaddling, as fast as she can. I start swimming with her, grabbing her arm, trying to pull her with me. I turn back around, just in time to see a large dark object slither into the water. Oh-no.
"COME ON ALEXIS! SWIM FASTER!"
"I CAN'T!" she screams. "I CAN'T GO ANY FASTER!"
"YOU HAVE TO!" I look at her, and I'm crying. God, why does this girl alwaya make me cry? Oh well, I can't worry about that now. I just have to get Alexis to shore. I start pulling her again, and we're starting to get closer and closer. We're almost there. Just about ten feet to go. Alexis screams.
"Justin! Something just touched my foot!"
I freeze. No, no, no., They can't swim that fast, can they? "Alexis, HURRY!" I pull her again.
"IT TOUCHED ME AGAIN!"
"SWIM FASTER!" Five feet. Four. Three. Two. And then we're there. I drag her onto shore, and I can tell she wants to sit down, but I don't let her. "DON'T SIT DOWN! TO THE CAR, NOW!" I push her towards the car and hurry to get in. I see two alligators coming out of the lake. Alexis isn't in the car yet. She's limping. "ALEXIS! GET IN THE CAR!" They're getting closer to her. I open the passenger side door, leap out, and grab Alexis's arm. I yank her to the car and pull her inside. I climb back into my seat through the passenger door, and she shuts the door quickly behing her. I hurry and turn the ignition, then back up and speed off as fast as I can. I look back and see that now there's four alligators on the shore. If I hadn't pulled Alexis into the car, they would've got her. I turn to look at Alexis. She's sobbing.
"It touched my foot. It could've got me." She puts her head in her hands. "And you bought me this dress. And now it's ruined."
I laugh a little. "Alexis, the last thing I care about is the dress. I'm just glad you're okay."
She looks over at me. "Really? Thanks. Thanks for helping me."
"Why wouldn't I help you?"
"I don't know. I though you just might not. And I was scared. I've always been scared of swimming and stuff."
"Why?"
She sighs. "I was at camp once, in Florida, and we were at this beach, and no one was around, just us. And I was trying to not go very far, since I can't swim. But then a big wave came and I got swept out really far. And I tried to call to my friends but they thought I was kidding. And I tried to swim back, but I couldn't. Then, I looked down, and there were all these jellyfish and fish and stuff underneath me. And I was scared, and I freaked out, and I got stung. A lot." She points to a spot on her ankle. "See? If you look close, you can see a scar. It was a long time ago, so it's kind of faded, but it's still there."
I look at her, trying to pay attention to the road. I can tell that she didn't want to talk about it, and I feel bad for asking. "I'm sorry I asked. It wasn't my business."
"It's fine. Hey, let's turn on the radio." She leans forward, and turns it on. She flips through the stations until she finds some Sean Kingston song. "I love this song!" she exclaims, sounding excited. "Girl, you make me dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb!" she sings out, dancing around. "Dumby dooby dumb! Why why why why?"
I laugh. "You're such a freak, you know that?"
She smiles. "I know."
"But you're my freak." I burst out singing along with her, and we sing all the way home.

Chapter 17, Alexis

*sorry, it's a shortie. couldn't really think ofd anything. enjoy =)*

"'Sup, slut?"

I turn from my locker and see Kelsey Smith standing there, smiling. "Excuse me?"

"You heard me. I know you're pregnant. You did it with Justin and now you're having his baby. That makes you a slut."

"No it doesn't. It makes me a stupid 16 year old girl who made a mistake."

"Yeah, whatever."

"This isn't even any of your business. How did you find out, anyway?"

"I have my ways." She puts her hands on her hips. "Enjoy being a single teen mom."

"What's that supposed to mean? Justin's staying with me every step of the way."

"Yeah, you wish he was. He may have said that, but that won't be happening. He doesn't want to be a dad. He wants to be a teenager. He can't be a teenager with you. He needs to be with me. And he will be with me."

"I don't think so. Justin loves me, and I love him. We're in this together, like it or not."

"Whatever. Justin will be mine." She glances at her designer watch. "I gotta go get a latte. See ya!"

"See ya," I say. The second she's out of earshot, I add, "skank." I can't believe her. She thinks she can just steal my boyfriend away from me, just because I'm preganant. Wait a minute, I think. I'm not pregnant. So I have nothing to worry about, right?

I turn back to my locker and take my stuff out. I just want to go home. I'm so glad it's the end of the day. I wanna go home and take a nap.

"Alexis!"

Someone else?! Really?! I don't want to talk to anyone right now! I just want to go home! I spin around. "What?!"

Alyssa jumps a little. "Jeez! I just wanted to talk to you!"

I sigh. "Sorry. I'm just really tired and so over everything right now."

"When were you gonna tell me?"

"Tell you what?"

"That you're pregnant!"

"Oh my god."

"Yeah!"

"Alyssa, I'm not pregnant."

"You're not?"

"No. I just told Justin that. I don't know why. I know for sure that I'm not. I just said it."

"YOU IDIOT!" People turn and stare at us. She looks at everyone that's staring. "NOTHING TO SEE HERE! GO ABOUT YOUR DAILY LIVES!" she shouts at them. They all turn away.

"I know, I'm stupid. I'm just gonna tell him that it was a false alarm."

"Whatever. Well, people know."

"How?!"

"Kelsey found out, and she's telling people."

"Oh god."

"She can be a real bitch, right? Ugh, I hate her."

"Me too."

"Well, I gotta head home. I have piano at four. Bye!" She leaves.

I finish putting my stuff in my backpack, and close my locker. I'm just walking away when a girl stops me. I think her name's Sarah.

"Hey, you're dating Justin Bieber, right?" she asks.

"Uhm, yeah. Why?"

"Well, Kelsey Smith is flirting with him. I'd keep an eye on your man if I were you."

"Okay, thanks." I walk away. I don't think I need to worry. Justin would never cheat on me. He's my boyfriend. I'm thinking of calling Justin to see if he wants to go to Dairy Queen, when I hear something that sounds kind of like a locker slamming, but not quite. I turn and see Kelsey and Justin, leaning against the lockers, kissing.

I turn and hurry away, tears blinding my vision as I run home.

Chapter 16, Justin

"Justin, dude, are you okay?" Christian's waving his hand in my face, trying to get my attention. "You look like you're about to throw up."

I sigh. "Yeah, I kinda feel like it."

"What's wrong? Alexis seemed kind of out of it today, too. Are you guys having issues or something?"

"Nah, I just, maybe, I don't know." We're sitting at lunch. We would normally be sitting with Alexis and Alyssa, but I pulled Christian over to a different table. I'm ashamed of myself and I don't want Alexis to be around horrible person like me. I'm not as horrible as Ryan, but still horrible. Then it hits me. Alexis is pregnant. Ryan hit her. Ryan hit her after Alexis and I had sex. Which means he hit her while she was pregnant. Which makes me really, really angry.

"Dude?"

"What? Oh, sorry."

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"No. Dude, something happened."

"What? Is it about what happened with Ryan? Alyssa told me about that."

"No, it's something different."

"Well, what is it?" He's getting impatient.

"Alexis is pregnant."

"What?"

"You heard me."

He just sits there, then he throws an ice cube at me. "You idiot!"

"Hey!" I exclaim, blocking the ice cube with my hand. "It's not my fault!"

"Yes it is!" He looks at me like I'm stupid. "How could it not be your fault? Wait... Is it another guy's?"

"No, it's mine. But we used protection. I don't know how it happened."

"You know, those things are only 99.9% effective."

"Yeah, now you tell me."

"Well, there's not really anything you can do, is there?"

"Nope."

"Wow."

"I know. Ryan hit her while she was pregnant."

"He hit her?"

"Yeah. When we were trying to get him away from Alyssa. She opened the door and he hit her, and she hit her head really hard and lost a bunch of blood. Ryan doesn't remember any of it."

"Oh my gosh."

"Yeah."

"Well, I'm sure he didn't mean to."

"But he still did it. And that's all that matters."

Chrsitian sighs. "Justin, dude, I know you love her, and I know you care about her, especiallynow that she's, you know, but don't you think you might be overreacting, just a little bit, about the Ryan thing?"

"Overreacting? Overreacting?! He hit her, Christian! He hit her hard and put her in the hospital! He pushed me and knocked me out cold! And he could've hurt Alyssa!"

"I understand, but, just, he's your best friend."

"WAS my best friend. Past tense. Not anymore."

"Dude."

"What?!"

"Nothing. Nevermind."

"Whatever. So, how am I gonna handle this?"

"What? The thing with Alexis?"

"Yeah. I'm only 16."

"So is she."

"I feel like crap."

"I would too. Oh, dude, she's walking this way."

"What?" I sit up and look where Christian's looking. Alexis is on her way over here.

"Hey," she says. "Why didn't you sit with me today?"

"Oh, uhm, I just, uhm... Christian needed to talk to me about something." I look at Christian and give him a go-along-with-it look.

He catches on quickly. "Uh, yeah, I needed to ask Justin about something."

Alexis looks skeptical. "Oh, really? What?"

Christian looks at, and I shrug. "Uhhh..." He thinks for a moment, then suddenly I can tell he has an idea. "About this girl. You see, there's this girl, and she's really hot, and I want to-"

Alexis cuts him off. "Nevermind! I don't wanna know!"

He smiles. "Well, okay, but you asked."

"And I'm sorry I did."

"Anyway," I say.

Alexis nods. "Yeah, anyway. I wondered why you didn't sit with me. I was worried that you were mad at me."

"Mad? Why would I be mad at you?"

"Because of... you know..."

"I'm not mad. Hey, you wanna ditch the rest of the day?"

"I can't. I can't miss any more school, or Kate will kill me. Especially now..."

"I'm sorry. Don't hate me."

"Oh, I could never hate you."

"I know. I am pretty awesome."

"Don't push it." She smiles, and I smile back.

Christian clears his throat. "Well, I think I'll just go then."

Alexis jumps a little. I think she forgot he was there. "No, I'll go. You two were talking, I inturrupted."

"Alexis-" I want her to stay. I want to kiss her, to hold her. But I can't. I'm afraid to touch her, afraid I'll do something wrong. I already got her pregnant. I don't want to do anything else.

"No, it's fine. I gotta go anyway. Bye Justin, bye Chrsitian."

"Bye," Christian says, his mouth full of potato chips.

"Oh, and Justin, I love you."

"I love you too."

She walks away, and I lay my head down on the table. "I am such an idiot," I groan.

"Yeah," says Christian. "You are."

Why did this have to happen to me?

Chapter 15, Alexis

Oh my god. Why did I say that? Why did I tell him I was pregnant? I'm not.

"You're...you're what?" He's looking at me in shock. I don't blame him. I'm shocked too.

"Pregnant. Can I please stop saying it now?"

He swallows. "Oh my god."

"Justin? Are you okay?"

"Oh my god."

"Justin?"

"Oh my god."

"Baby?"

"But...but I used a condom."

"Condoms can break."

"Oh my god."

"I'm so sorry."

"This is all my fault."

"What?"

"It's all my fault. I wanted to, and we did. I pressured you, I'm so sorry."

"What? No you didn't. This was both our decisions."

"Oh my god."

"Okay, Justin, breath, okay? Just breath."

He nods. He's had the same expression on his face since I said it. There's fear, regret, worry, everything in his eyes. "I'm so sorry."

"It's not your fault."

"Oh my god!" All of a sudden his expression goes from shocked to angry. He turns and slams his fist into a locker. "Oh my god!"

"Justin..."

"How could I be so stupid?! I should have been more careful! We shouldn't have even done it! Oh my god!" He's almost shouting, and some people are starting to look.

I go over to him. "Justin, calm down. It's gonna be okay."

He turns to look at me. "How can you say that? We have to go through this. We're in high school. We can't... I can't... You can't..." He stops and looks away. He holds his head. He's upset, and I can tell that he's furious with himself. "I'm so so sorry, Alexis."

"Baby, we're gonna get through this. We're gonna be fine, okay?"

"I'm only 16. I can't be a father at 16. I'm 16. I can barely drive, I can't be a dad."

"Well, I'm only 16, and apparantly I'm a mom." Why am I lying to him?! I'm not pregnant!

He sighs. "Well, we'll have to go through this together. I'm going to stick with you through this. Every step of the way."

He's so sweet. That's why I love him so much. "Thank you."

"I'm sorry."

"I know. We're gonna be late for homeroom. Let's go to class, okay?"

He nods numbly. "Okay."

I have no idea why I'm lying to him. I don't know why I said that. I know for a fact that I'm not. I bought a test right after I left his house, just to make sure. And I'm most definately not pregnant. I follow him into homeroom and slump into my seat. I feel like crap. I hate lying to Justin. I hate it. I want to stop, but it's too late. I've already said it. I don't pay attention during homeroom. Justin and I don't talk. I just sit there, and Justin's just staring sraight ahead. He looks really pale. I feel so bad for him.

The bell rings, and I leave. I don't wait for Justin to walk me to class, and he doesn't say anything about it. I slowly make my way to history and sit down in my seat.

Christian looks over at me; he sits right beside me. "Alexis, do you know what's wrong with Justin? I saw him in the hallway and he looked like he was gonna be sick."

I think back to when I told him. His face, was it what-the-hell-is-going-on shock, or was it regretful I-have-to-end-this-relationship shock? "No," I say, shaking my head. "No idea."

Chapter 14, Justin

She's okay. She's okay. She has to be. She's gonna be okay, he just hit her. But what if she hit her head? I hit my head, but what if she hit hers harder? Oh my god. I hope she's okay. She's gonna be fine, Justin, she's gonna be fine.

"Justin? Are you alright?"

I glance up. Alyssa's standing in front of me, looking worried. I nod. "I'm fine. I just want her to be okay."

"Me too."

We're at the hospital, in the waiting room, waiting for the doctor to come out and tell us how Alexis is doing. After Ryan hit her, she passed out and we couldn't wake her up. Alyssa called 9-1-1, but they couldn't get her to wake up either. They didn't want to use the paddles because if it wasn't serious they might hurt her. I kept shaking her and yelling for her to wake up and open her eyes, but nothing was happening. It was the scariest moment of my life.

"I love her so much. What if he hit her too hard?"

"I don't think just hitting her could kill her or anything."

"What if it can?"

She doesn't say anything. She's as worried as I am. I wish someone was here besides us. The cops took Ryan, and my mom's not back from her business trip, and we couldn't get ahold of Alexis's sister Kate. So it's just Alyssa and me. She sits down beside me. She's been pacing back and forth this whole time, and I've been sitting here, close to tears. "She's gonna be okay," she says.

I just nod. I can't say anything. I keep thinking, what if she's gone? What if by some freak chance he hit her too hard or something happened and she's gone? I wish my brain would shut up so I wouldn't be so upset and I could get some sleep. We've been here for six or seven hours. Finally, I stand, angry. "This stupid hospital is so freaking slow!" I exclaim, really mad. I slam my fist into the wall, but not hard enough to break the wall or anything. We're the only ones in the waiting room, so it's not like anyone will see me or anything.

Alyssa stands and comes over to me. "It's alright, they're probabaly just really busy." She holds my hand, but I know it's just to comfort me.

"Whatever." I look around. "I'm hungry."

She nods. "Me too. There's a cafeteria down the hall. Do you want to go get something, and I'll wait for the doctor?"

I sigh. "Sure. What do you want?"

"Just an apple or something will be fine, thanks."

"Alright." She lets go of my hand and I grab my phone. "Call me if the doctor comes."

"I will."

I go down the hall and quickly find the cafeteria. There's not much to choose from to eat. I finally decide on a turkey sandwich and a soda for me and an apple, a bag of chips, and a bottle of water for Alyssa. I pay for the food and go back to the waiting room. "I didn't think an apple was enough, so I got you some chips and water too," I say, handing her the food.

She smiles weakly. "Thanks."

I take a bite of my sandwich; it tastes like rubber. Suddenly, I start thinking about earlier today, after me and Alexis did it, and I made her a peperoni sandwich, and ave her a hard time about eating weird food. I almost choke on my food and start crying a little bit. Oh my god, I can't start crying! I'm a guy. Guys don't cry, and I need to be strong now, so Alyssa won't get upset.

"Justin, are you crying?"

I hurry and wipe the tears. "No, I, uhm, I just got something in my eye." Smooth, real smooth.

"Well, alright, but it's okay for you to cry, you know."

"I don't need to cry. I'm fine."

"Whatever you say."

"I'm serious. I'm fine."

"I believe you."

I sit there and take a sip of my soda. She's right. I need to cry. But guys don't cry. They just don't. "Alyssa?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm so worried."

"I know."

"I miss her already."

"I know."

"I don't wanna lose her."

"I know."

"I love her. More than anything."

"I know."

I start crying. I'm willing the tears to go away, just stay in my eyes, don't fall. But it doesn't work. The tears slip silently down my cheeks. Alyssa puts her arm around me and rubs my arm.

"Shhh, it's gonna be okay," she says.

I wipe my eyes. I don't want anyone to see me crying. I take a shaky breath. "Alright. I'm okay. Thanks."

"No problem," she says, smiling.

I see the doctor walking towards us. "Alyssa, the doctor." We both sit up a little straighter.

"Hello, are you here for Alexis Allegriso?"

We both nod. "Yes, sir," I say. "We are."

"Well, I have some good news and some bad news."

"That means she's okay," Alyssa whispers in my ear.

"Yes?" I ask the doctor.

"The good news is, she's alright."

"Oh thank god," I breath. Alyssa lets out a sigh of relief. "Wait. What's the bad news?"

"Right. The bad news. When she fell, she hit her head, and she lost a lot of blood. She's going to have to take it easy for the next couple of days. So that means no being in crowded hallways, so take her to class after everyone else is in their classrooms, and no physical activity of any kind." He looked at me. Could he know? Doctors can't know that, can they? They only looked at her head, right? Oh well. It doesn't really matter.

"Does kissing count as physical activity?" I can't just not kiss her.

"You can kiss her, but not a lot. Only a little bit."

I nod. "Okay. Got it."

"Can we see her?" Alyssa asks.

The doctor nods. "Yes, but she's very tired, so don't stay for too long." He leaves.

We grab our stuff and go to Alexis's room. "Alexis?" I say quietly.

She smiles weakly. "Hey guys."

"How are you?" Alyssa sits down in a chair. I stay standing.

"I'm fine, just really tired, and my head hurts. Do I have a bruise right here?" She motions to the area around her cheek, below her right eye.

I lean over and look at it. "Only a little bit. It looks like it'll probably get worse though. Is that where Ryan hit you?" It makes me angry just saying his name.

She nods. "Yeah."

I clench my fists. "I'm gonna kill him."

"Justin-"

"He hit you. And you're in the hospital because of him. He's a horrible person and I'm gonna kill him."

"Justin Drew Bieber, if you kill him I am never speaking to you ever again."

"Why?"

"Because. I don't want to have to come visit you in jail." She smiles. "But, what happened to him?"

Alyssa speaks up. "The police took him. He's gonna be in jail for a couple days."

"I hope he never gets out of there," I say.

Alexis looks at me. "Justin, he didn't know what he was doing. Don't let it ruin your friendship."

"It's too late. He hurt the girl I love, and he can't take it back."

She raises her eyebrows. "The girl you love? Who would this be?"

"I think you know her. She's the most beautiful girl in the world, has a wonderful personality, is a great kisser, and her boyfriend loves her more than anything."

"She sounds like a very lucky girl."

"He's luckier." It's taking all my strength not to kiss her.

"She doesn't think so."

I can't take it. I lean over and kiss her gently. She kisses back, and she's kissing me more forcefully. I pull away, and she looks at me, confused. "I can't kiss you very much," I explain. "The doctor said."

She frowns. "Oh."

"Yeah."

Alyssa coughs. "So, uh, I'm gonna leave? Let you two have some privacy? That okay? Yeah? Okay. Though so. Bye!" She leaves.

Alexis laughs. "She is so dramatic!"

"I know." I laugh with her.

She sighs. "So..."

"I was so worried about you. I thought..."

"What? What did you think?"

"I thought maybe something might happen, and I might lose you."

"Oh, Justin."

I look down.

"Justin. You'll never lose me, baby." She smiles, and I can't help but smile back. "I love you," she says.

"I love you too."

"Justin!"

He is not talking to me. No way. Why would he think it's okay to talk to me after what he did?

"Justin! Wait up!"

I'm not even gonna bother replying to him.

"Justin!" He grabs my backpack, stopping me. "Dude, what's up with you?"

I spin around., "What's up with me? What's up with me?! I'll tell you what's up with me! You put my girlfriend in the hospital, that's what's up with me!"

Ryan looks at me, confused. "What are you talking about?"

"You hit Alexis! You hit her and she had to go to the hospital!" I'm up in his face, I'm so mad.

"I never did that!"

"Yes you did! You were drunk or high or whatever!"

A look of realization crosses his face, and he frowns. "Oh, crap..."

"Yeah, oh crap! Don't ever speak to me, or Alexis, or Alyssa ever again!" I turn to walk away, but he still follows me.

"Alyssa? What did I do to Alyssa?"

"Why don't you ask the police?"

"Dude, whatever I did, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt Alexis. I don't even know what I did."

"Too bad. Get away from me. You're disgusting." I leave him standing in the middle of the hallway, my former best friend.

I shove my books into my locker. I'm so angry. So Ryan isn't my friend anymore, whatever. I still have Christian, and I'll always have Alexis. Speaking of Alexis, I see her coming my way, and I smile. She makes my day 100% better every time I see her.

"Hey babe," I say, giving her a hug.

"Hey." She looks a little distant.

"Are you okay?"

"Me? Uhm, yeah, I'm fine." She's been out of the hospital for almost a week. Could her head still be hurting?

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. I'm fine. But, uhm, we need to talk."

"Okay, well, can we talk later? We're going to be late for homeroom."

"Well it's kind of important.."

"It can wait though, right? I really can't afford to be late again." I start to walk away.

"My period's late."

I stop in my tracks. I slowly turn around. "What?"

"My period is late."

"But, but...what does that mean? It can't, you can't be..." I look in her eyes, she looks like she's about to cry.

"I'm pregnant."

Chapter 13, Alexis

*sorry, this one's long =)*

I open the door and walk inside. Kate's sitting in the living room watching tv. I need to tell her what happened with me and Justin.

"Hey Kate?"

"Yeah?"

"I need to talk to you."

"Alright."

I go over and sit next to her. "Well, first, I wanna say that I've skipped a little school."

"What? Why?"

"Well, this guy Justin that I'm dating wanted to talk to me some, and I've been overwhelmed with stuff, and I'm sorry. I won't do it again."

"Okay. Now who's this Justin boy?"

I sigh. "Justin Bieber. A boy at school. I've been tutoring him, and we just kind of fell for each other."

She smiles. "Okay. Well, I can tell that there's something else you want to tell me. Spill."

I sigh again. I'm not sure if I should tell her. I feel nervous. Really nervous. "Well, uhm..."

"You can tell me."

"We had sex."

She's quiet. "You what?" she finally says.

"I had sex with him."

"You did what?! Why?! Why would you do that?! You're only 16! What were you thinking?!"

"I love him!"

"No you don't! You're just saying that! Did he pressure you?! If I find out he did ANYTHING that you didn't want to do- UGH!"

"KATE! I WANTED TO! I WAS READY! HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!"

"YOU'RE LYING!"

"I WOULDN'T LIE ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THIS!"

She sighs. She knows I'm right. "You're right. I'm sorry. I guess if you were ready then it's okay. Did you use protection?"

"Of course."

"Well, it's your body, I guess."

"Yeah." We're both quiet for a moment. "I'm spending the night at his house tomorrow."

She looks up fast. "No you're not."

"Yes I am. His mom's away until next week. He's all alone. I don't want him to be by himself."

"Of course you don't."

"We're not going to do it again, if that's what you're thinking."

"I know you're not. Because you're not staying at his house."

"Yes I am."

"NO."

"Please!"

"No."

"Kate!"

"Mom and Dad would be ashamed."

"No they wouldn't, and you know it. They didn't care. That's why they left."

"Whatever."

"I'm going."

"Whatever. But if you get pregnant, you're out of here."

"What?"

"You heard me. If you get pregnant, I'm kicking you out."

"Don't get your hopes up." I leave the room.

"Alyssa."

"Yeah?"

"I did it."

"Did what?"

"No, like, ma and Justin did it."

"WHAT?!"

"Yeah."

"Are you crazy?!"

"I love him."

"So you are crazy."

"Haha, very funny. He's actually really sweet."

"Nope."

"Yep."

"Oh my gosh. Dude, you know Justin's friend Ryan?"

"Yeah. What about him?"

"He's outside my door."

"Why?"

"I don't know! He keeps knocking on the door, saying stuff like, 'Let me in babe!' and stuff like that! It's kind of scaring me!"

"Are you okay? He's probably just kidding around."

"No, he seems high or somethng. I'm really starting to get scared."

"Don't worry. Don't let him see you, okay?"

"He already saw me. I was doing my homework in the dining room, in front of that big window, and he saw me."

"Well don't let him see you anymore."

"Okay. Wait, I think he's- AAGHH!" She screams, and I hear a crash, like glass breaking.

"Alyssa! Are you okay?! What happened?!"

"He's inside!" she screams. "He's inside the house!"

"Go hide! Hide in your closet or something!"

"Okay! Stay on the line, okay? I'm really scared, Alexis!"

"Calm down, okay! Just hide, and make sure he doesn't find you! If he's high or something, he could be dangerous."

I hear her whimpering, like she's maybe crying. "I'm really scared."

"I know. I'll call Justin and tell him to go over there, okay? He can take care of Ryan."

"Alright. But call me right back! I'm in my closet now. And my bedroom door is locked."

"Good girl. I'll call right back." I hang up. I'm really worried about her. I quickly dial Justin's number, and pray that he picks up.

"Hello?"

"Justin!"

"Oh, hey Alexis!"

"Ryan is at Alyssa's house!"

"What?"

"Ryan is at Alyssa'a house and he was telling her to let him in and she was scared and then I heard glass breaking and she told me he was inside the house and now she's hiding in her closet and she said he sounds high or something!"

"Oh my god."

"He's your friend! You have to help her!"

"He's never himself when he's high or drunk or whatever. He could hurt her."

"Oh my god, Justin! Go over there and stop him or something!"

"I'm going to pick you up and we'll go over."

"We don't have time! She lives right down the street from me. I'll just meet you there!"

"NO! Don't you dare go over there by yourself. You wait for me, got it?"

I sniffle. "Got it."

"I'll be there in less than five minutes."

Sure enough, he's at my house in about three or four minutes. I don't wait for him to stop the car. I run outside and jump in. "Four houses up, the blue one on the right!" I tell him. He pulls up to the house and parks, jumping out. He starts to run towards the house, and I see that the big dining room window is broken.

"Stay close behind me," he says. I nod.

I hold on to one of his arms lightly, and we slowly make our way through the house. Suddenly, I hear a crash and a scream. "Alyssa!" I cry out.

"SHH!" Justin says. "Don't be loud."

"That was Alyssa! She screamed! She's upstairs!"

He nods, and hurries over to the stairs. He carefully goes upstairs, and I follow close behind. We get to Alyssa's room, and her door is off one hinge.

"GO AWAY!" she's screaming. "GET AWAY FROM ME!"

I hear laughter after that, but not normal laughter. Like drunk laughter.

Justin's eyes go wide. "That's Ryan," he whispers.

"Do something!" I whisper back to him.

He nods again, quicker this time. He moves quietly into the room. I'm inside a second after him, and I see Alyssa huddling in a corner, and Ryan pushing her against the wall, trying to get her shirt off.

"STOP!" she shouts.

Justin moves quickly. He comes at Ryan from the side and tackles him, and I hurry over to Alyssa. Angry, Ryan swings at him. He misses. Then, he pushes Justin. Hard. Justin falls and hits his head hard on a chair.

Ryan comes back over towards Alyssa and me. "Get away!" I shout at him.

He grabs my arm and flings me on the ground. "OW!" I cry out in pain, and hold my arm. I see Justin still laying on the floor. "Justin! Get up!" He doesn't react.

Ryan's over by Alyssa, and she's pushing him away. "STOP IT! GET AWAY FROM ME!"

I sit up and wince. My arm hurts really really bad. I have to help Alyssa though. I grab one of Ryan's ankles and pull him to the ground. "HEY!" he yells.

I quickly get up and pull Alyssa to the other side of the room. She's crying and shaking. "Go downstairs! Hide somewhere!" She nods and hurries out of the room. I hurry over beside Justin. "Justin! Get up! Please!" He doesn't say anything. I see his head bleeding a little bit. No, no, NO! He has to get up! I look up and see

Ryan getting up. "JUSTIN!" I scream in his ear, shaking him. "JUSTIN! GET UP NOW!" Still nothing. "Oh my god," I say to myself. I look up again. Ryan's up and starting to come towards me. I stand up and start to turn to run, but Ryan jumps forward and pulls me to the ground, and I scream. I manage to kick him off me, and I grab a lamp from Alyssa's bedside table. I go up behind Ryan and smash the lamp over his head. He falls, but I can tell that he's just stunned. I go back over by Justin and try to pck him up to carry him downstairs. Good lord, how much does this boy weigh? I give up and just drag him downstairs by his arms. I go as fast as I can, which is actually pretty fast. I can hear Ryan moving around upstairs, and he's about to come downstairs. I manage to pull Justin into the den, and lay him on the couch. I lock the door and collapse onto the floor. I don't know where Alyssa is, and I'm really scared. I go sit on the couch and look at Justin. "Justin," I say quietly, so Ryan won't hear me. "Justin, please wake up." I make sure he's still breathing, and he is. Thank goodness. I'm praying that Justin's okay, just unconcious or whatever. "Justin!" I say again, a little louder this time. I kiss him forcefully but carefully so I won't hurt him, and when I pull back I see his eyelids flutter a little. I gasp happily, and kiss him again. This time, his eyes open. I cry out and hug him. "Justin! I love you! I thought I was gonna lose you!"

He hugs me back. "You'll never lose me, baby," he says.

I start crying. "Justin, he's still here. I got Alyssa to go hide, but I don't know where she's hiding. And he's probably downstairs now. We're in the den."

"Well, just stay here with me and stay quiet for awhile, okay? I've seen him like this before, and it never ends good." He runs his hands over his head to smooth down his hair, and when he sets his hands in front of him and looks at them, he looks shocked. "Is that...is that blood? Is my head bleeding?"

I nod. "A little. You hit your head on a chair. You were unconcious."

"I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry that I couldn't help more up there, and I'm so sorry that you're scared. But, he's stronger than me..." he trails off, and looks down, sighing.

"I know. It's okay. I'm just hoping that Alyssa's okay. She's my best friend."

"I know. I hope she's okay, too."

I sniffle, starting to cry more, and he puts his arm around me. "I'm scared."

"I'm right here. I'll protect you."

"I love you."

"I love you too." He kisses the top of my head, and I scoot closer to him, laying my head on his shoulder. Suddenly there's pounding on the door.

"LET ME IN!" Alyssa screams. "LET ME IN!"

I sit up. "Justin! That's Alyssa! We've got to let her in!" I jump up and run to the door.

"ALEXIS! DON'T OPEN THE DOOR!" Justin shouts. "DON'T OPEN-"

I open the door and see a hand coming towards me, and I can't hear Justin anymore. The last thing I remember is laying on the ground, everything looking fuzzy, and Ryan standing over me.

Chapter 12, Justin

*sorry if there's any typos. my keybards retarded! btw, sorry for the language i use in my story. i normally dont use language like that, but im tryin to think of how a 15/16 year old would speak. so...enjoy:)*

Holy. Freaking. Shit. I just had sex with Alexis. I can't believe it. She said she was scared, and I told her not to be, that I loved her. I told her I loved her. And she said it back. It was amazing. I was afraid I would hurt her, but she didn't make any indication that it hurt. I want to call Ryan and tell him, but I bet Alexis doesn't want me telling people. But, I mean, Ryan's my best friend. I can't just not tell him. Oh well. I'll wait till Alexis says it's okay. I don't want her to get mad.

We're still laying in my bed. She sighs. "That was...wow..."

"Yeah..."

"I mean...it was...I didn't expect...wow..."

"Yeah..."

She sighs again. "So...what do we do now?"

I haven't thought about that. "Uhm, I don't know. We could do it again if you want." I smile and wink at her.

She laughs a little. "No thanks. I'm tired. We could go to Dairy Queen!"

"What's up with you and Dairy Queen? Can't I just get you some chips or something?"

"Do you have any pepperoni?"

"Yeah, sure."

"Can I have a sandwhich?"

"Can you make it yourself?"

"No."

"Alright, fine. I'll be right back."

"Thank you!" She smiles and bats her eyelashes.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." I pull on my boxers then head downstairs and go to the kitchen. I open the fridge and pull out the pepperoni. I put some on a slice of bread, then remember that she didn't tell me if she wants anything else on it. I can hear her watching tv upstairs. "DO YOU WANT ANY CHEESE ON YOUR SANDWHICH?!" I call up to her.

"NO THANKS! JUST PEPPERONI!" she yells back.

I put a little more pepperoni on her sandwich then put it on a plate and go back upstairs. "You're so weird. Who just puts pepperoni on they're sandwhich?"

"Me," she says, taking a bite.

I roll my eyes. "Of course." I sit down next to her. She's dressed again. Darn.

"You need to get dressed. Your mom could come home any minute."

"Nah, she's on a business trip. She won't be back till next week."

"So, you're all alone here? By yourself?"

I put on my best sad face and act depressed. "Yeah. It gets really lonely."

She bites her lip and looks away, thinking. "Well... maybe I could come stay over sometimes? Just to make sure you don't get too lonely?"

YES. "Alright! I mean, uhm, that'd be cool with me, as long as your parents are okay with it."

She looks down. "Well, it's just my sister's choice."

"Why? Don't your care about your parent's opinion?"

"Well, it's only me and my sister. My parents took off sometime a while ago. So it's just me and Kate."

I'm shocked. I never would've guessed something like that. "Wow."

"Yeah." She looks away.

"I'd really like you to stay here with me."

"Alright. Tomorrow."

"Good." I'm looking forward to Alexis spending the night. A part of me is hoping what happened today might happen again, but I don't want her to feel pressured. Aw crap, I've really changed for this girl.

"Well, maybe I should head home. I'm supposed to be home from school any minute."

"Yeah, okay. I'll drive you home?"

"I'd rather walk, actually."

I'm dissapointed. "Oh."

"Sorry. I just like to walk. It helps me think."

"Oh really? And what do you need to think about?"

"Well, you know, I don't know, I guess..."

"Maybe this?" I lean closer to her and kiss her. She kisses back for awhile, but then she pulls away.

"I really need to get home," she says quietly.

"I know."

"I really don't wanna go."

"I know. I don't want you to go, either."

"I'll see you tomorrow."

"I know."

"Justin?"

"Yeah?"

"Let go of my arm."

I look down and notice I'm holding her arm. Tight. "Oh! Sorry." I let go, and I can see the color returning to her arm. It looks like I hurt her. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay," she says, rubbing her arm a little.

"Are you sure?" I ask, not trying to hide the concern and worry.

"I'm sure. It'll most likely just be a little bruise." She smiles at me. "Really, I'm fine."

"Alright, if you say so."

"Well, I'm gonna go." She stands. "Bye Justin."

"Bye Alexis."

She walks over to the door but pauses as she's about to leave. "Justin? I love you."

I swallow. This will be our second time saying it, and we've only officially been a couple for less than a day. I know I really love her though. "I love you too."

"Bye." She leaves.

I lay back on my bed, and let out a big sigh. I miss her already.

"Ryan?"

"Yeah?"

"I love her."

"Oh hell."

"Yeah." I'm on the phone with Ryan. I heven't told him that Alexis and i did it yet, and I'm not sure if I'm going to. It's not that I don't trust Ryan or anything, I'm just not sure how he would react.

"Are you sure?"

"Yep. Positive."

He sighs. "Then, you love her. But what about Kelsey?"

"What about her?"

"She's hot. Very hot."

"Yes, I'm aware that she's very hot."

"And?"

"Alexis is hotter."

"I bet."

I need to tell him. He's done it with girls before. He knows what to do after. But then again, he's always dumped those girls right after it happened... Oh well. I'm telling him. He's my best friend. "I had sex with her."

He's quiet for a moment, as if I surprised him. "Dude, good job."

"Huh?"

"You did her in less than a week. And you've only been 'together' for less than a day."

"And?"

"That's like, a record."

Oh my god. I can't believe him. Is that all he cared about? How long it took? Is that why he dumped all those other girls? "I can't believe you."

"What?"

"Is that all you care about?! Sleeping with the girls?! Sleeping with them then boasting cause it's a 'new record', or whatever?!"

"Excuse me?"

"Have you ever thought about how those girls feel?! Maybe they thought it was special! But it wasn't to you! You're worse than I was!"

"Was? Dude, you still are. Just watch. Kelsey will wink, or wave, or whatever, and you'll be with her, and Alex will be history. It's just how it works."

"Her name is Alexis."

"Whatever."

"I shouldn't have told you. I thought you'd understand."

"Yeah, go cry about it. You're turning into a wuss."

"Shut up."

"No. You're not the boss of me. I'm 16 freaking years old. Don't tell me what to do."

All of a sudden I notice something different about his voice. "Dude, where are you?"

"I don't know."

"What are you doing?"

"I don't know."

"Are you high?"

He doesn't answer. He doesn't need to.

"You know what? You're a loser."

"You're a loser."

"No, I'm not. Bye Ryan."

"Bye Justin!"

I hang up.

Chapter 11, Alexis

"He's such a good kisser," I tell Alyssa as we sit down at lunch. "Seriously, I could kiss him forvever."

She laughs. "I'm sure you could."

I sigh dreamily. "He's just so... wonderful..."

Aly rolls her eyes. "Well, Mr. Wonderful is coming this way, so stop drooling."

"What?!" I sit up fast and fix my hair and smooth my skirt. I look up and, sure enough, Justin's heading over to our table.

"Hey gorgeous," he says, sitting next to me and kissing my cheek.

"Hey," I respond, smiling. I hold his hand, and he smiles too.

Aly raises her eyebrows. "So, you two are like, a couple now?"

I glance at Justin, and he smiles. "Yeah," I say. "We are."

Justin grins and leans in to kiss me. "We most definately are," he mumbles. He kisses me, and I can't help but kiss back.

Aly coughs. "Uhm, excuse me? I'm still here, you know."

I pull away from Justin. "Sorry."

She crosses her arms. "Whatever."

Justin stands up. "C'mon, baby. Let's go somewhere."

"Alright, but I'm going to class today! I'm not skipping again!"

"Whatever." He takes my hand and we start to walk away.

"Alrght, that's fine!" Alyssa calls after us. "Just leave! No worries! I'll just sit here by myself!"

I laugh. She can be so dramatic. Justin and I walk down the hall towards the gym. "Where are we going?" I ask.

"I don't know," he says. "I just wannna walk with you."

"Aww, you're sweet."

"Not as sweet as you."

"Please, not this. Do not make me throw up."

"Sorry."

We end up going to my locker so I can get my jacket. I pull it on, and Justin watches. "Why are you watching me put on a jacket?"

He smiles. "You look hot putting on a jacket. I bet you'd look even hotter taking it off." He winks at me.

"No, actually, I'd look cold, because this school is freezing and without this jacket I'm going to get hypothermia."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

We start walking again, but then Justin stops. "Ugh! I can't take this! Can we PLEASE leave this stupid school?! I'll take you to Dairy Queen or whatever, but can we please leave?!"

I burst out laughing. "Alright, sure, whatever. I guess we can go."

"Thank you!" He practically runs out of the school, and I follow. He picks me up and sets me in the car, then climbs through the passenger side over me to get to the driver's seat. "Oh! Sorry! Excuse me! Coming through!"

Laughing, I playfully smack him on the arm. "Was that really necessary?"

"No. But it went a whole lot smoother than I thought it would." He winks.

"Whatever."

We get to his house and we head inside. We go up to his room without even thinking. Before long, we're sitting on his bed, making out. His hands slowly start to move under my shirt, and I pull away. "Justin, I don't know..."

"I'm not rushing you."

"It's just..."

"You're scared?"

"Yeah..."

"Don't worry."

I pause, thinking. "Well, maybe."

"We don't have to if you don't want to."

"I do."

"You do?"

"Yeah. But you're right, I'm scared."

"Don't be scared. I love you."

I"m shocked. This is the first time either of us has said that. "I love you too," I tell him.

And then it happens.
